How do I change my display settings in Windows?

This article relates to both the TM2 and TM3 versions of the desktop software.

Native Resolution

The native resolution is 1024x768. In order for TM2 to be displayed properly on your system, you will need to be running a resolution of at least 1024x768 or above.

Changing Display Settings on Windows

Windows allows you to configure the resolution of your desktop environment.

If you are having problems with TM2 displaying correctly on your screen, you may want to try adjusting the resolution. The steps to do this on each platform are shown below.

Windows Vista

  • Click on the start button
  • Click on Control Panel
  • Click on Appearance and Personalization
  • Click on Display Settings
  • Under Resolution, adjust the slider and click Apply when you are happy with the results.

Windows 7

  • Click on the start button
  • Click on Control Panel
  • Under Appearance and Personalization, click on Adjust Screen Resolution
  • Click on the drop-down list next to Resolution
  • Move the slider to the resolution you want
  • Click Apply

Windows 8

  • Click on the Desktop tile
  • Right-click on the wallpaper on your desktop and choose screen resolution
  • Click on the drop-down list next to Resolution
  • Move the slider to the resolution you want
  • Click Apply

Windows 10

  • Open the Control Panel and click on the Display icon
  • Click on the 'Change display settings' link on the left
  • If you have more than one display connected to your PC, then select a display that you want to change the screen resolution of
  • In the 'Resolution' drop-down menu, select a screen resolution that you want for the selected display and then click 'Apply'
  • If the selected display looks good then click on 'Keep Changes'
  • If you have more than one display connected to your PC and would like to change the screen resolution of another display then repeat the above steps
