TM2/TM3 Desktop on Non Windows Devices

Note

This article relates to both the TM2 and TM3 versions of the desktop software.

This guide will show you TM2/TM3 compatibility with Non-Windows Devices.

Mac OS X

TM2/TM3 Desktop is not directly compatible with Mac OS X; however, it is possible to virtualise Windows on Mac OS to run TM2/TM3.

To do this

  1. Choose what Windows Operating system you would like to run on your Macintosh. You will need to purchase this copy of Windows
  2. Contact the Bluezinc Technical Support Team
  3. The Support Team will compile an image to be sent via USB. This can take up to 10 working days
  4. Once the USB arrives, contact Support who will arrange install of the software. This will need to be pre-booked and can take circa two hours to install

As running a virtual environment can be quite a performance intensive; you will need to check that your Macintosh meets the minimum specifications.

The recommended minimum specifications are

RAM 4GB-6GB Min Processor 2.7GHz Dual Core Min Disk Space 200GB (Free Space) Min Graphics 512MB Video RAM Min

To check the specifications of your Macintosh

  1. Click on the Apple Logo at the top right of the screen
  2. Click on About this Mac - More Info
  3. Check the specifications within Overview

Apple iOS

TM2/TM3 Desktop is not directly compatible with Apple iOS for iPhone or iPad; however, it is possible to access TM2/TM3 via these devices by making use of remote connection software.

In order to do this, we recommend Team Viewer software as the client of choice.

To do this

  1. Download the Teamviewer software on your Windows PC
  2. Download the Teamviewer application from the iOS App Store
  3. Run Teamviewer on the PC to generate a connection code
  4. Use this code to login to the application on your iPhone or iPad

Teamviewer software is free for personal use allowing you to make use of the remote viewing capabilities for 60 minutes before being disconnected.

Android

TM2/TM3 Desktop is not directly compatible with Android OS for phones and tablets; however, it is possible to access TM2/TM3 via these devices by making use of remote connection software.

  2. Download the Teamviewer application from the Google Play Store.
  3. Run Teamviewer on the PC to generate a connection code
  4. Use this code to login to the application on your Android device
